Putt Putt Event Is RAG Fund-raiser
ROXBURY — The Roxbury Arts Group invites everyone to celebrate and support its 2022 season with a party including gift auctions and fun-filled miniature golf competitions on Saturday afternoon, July 16, 4-7 p.m. at Putt Putt Van Winkle in Bovina.
Enjoy miniature golf with friends and neighbors while eating, drinking, competing and bidding as we launch another summer of art in the Catskills at Putt Putt Van Winkle, created by Brooke Alderson and Scott Hill. The new, immensely popular 9-hole miniature golf course is a wonderland, themed on the Catskills’ preeminent literary hero, Rip Van Winkle.
Putt your way through the early evening, admiring Alderson and Scott’s hilarious, updated depictions of Van Winkle’s story, imbibe festive libations and savor culinary treats while raising funds to support the Roxbury Arts Group and its many programs through an auction of fantastic gift baskets created just for this event.
Founded in 1979, the Roxbury Arts Group is a non-profit multi-arts organization dedi-cated to making the arts an integral part of the life of all segments of our Catskill com-munities by offering public performances, exhibitions, workshops, classes, presenta-tions and demonstrations for adults and children; distributing grants to Delaware County artists and artistic projects and providing services to them and other not-for-profit cultural organizations; and creating opportunities for the artists and the larger community of our region to engage with each other.
The Roxbury Arts Group offers high-quality arts programming at the Roxbury Arts Center in Roxbury, the Old School Baptist Church in the Denver-Vega Valley, and the Headwaters Arts Center on Main Street in Stamford.
Putt Putt for the Arts admission is $50; youngsters 12 and under are free. For tickets and more information visit roxburyartsgroup.org, email programs@roxburyartsgroup.org, or call 607 326-7908.
