Mt. Tremper — There will be a “musical supergroup” performing Saturday, July 28 as well as Saturday, August 25 behind Woodnotes Grille, an Emerson Resort.

The event will last from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm both nights. Every week there will be a special guest performer, and this week, said artist is Brian Mitchell. Mitchell is a composer and musician, who has dabbled in everything from rock music to classical. He composed a new film score for the silent film “Que Vive Mexico”, a famous film by Sergei Eisenstein.

The musical series will take place along the banks of the Esopus Creek, and will feature voices of Bruce Katz, a four time Nominee for the Blues Music Award, Jay Collins, who played instrumental jazz for a Grammy-winning alum “Electric Dirt” by Levon Helm, Chris Vitarello, a Nominee at the 32nd Blues Music Awards, Randy Ciarlante, a singer, songwriter and drummer, Peter Dougan, who is currently working on an album with “the Mateo Dougan Band” and several others.

Tickets for this event are $25 if purchased beforehand, and $30 at the door, and tickets are non-refundable and nontransferable. The event is produced by the team of Sonny Rock and Chris Hensley, and can be found on Route 28, Mt. Tremper.
