Mt. Tremper — There will be a “musical supergroup” performing Saturday, July 28 as well as Saturday, August 25 behind Woodnotes Grille, an Emerson Resort.
The event will last from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm both nights. Every week there will be a special guest performer, and this week, said artist is Brian Mitchell. Mitchell is a composer and musician, who has dabbled in everything from rock music to classical. He composed a new film score for the silent film “Que Vive Mexico”, a famous film by Sergei Eisenstein.
Banks of the Esopus
The musical series will take place along the banks of the Esopus Creek, and will feature voices of Bruce Katz, a four time Nominee for the Blues Music Award, Jay Collins, who played instrumental jazz for a Grammy-winning alum “Electric Dirt” by Levon Helm, Chris Vitarello, a Nominee at the 32nd Blues Music Awards, Randy Ciarlante, a singer, songwriter and drummer, Peter Dougan, who is currently working on an album with “the Mateo Dougan Band” and several others.
Tickets for this event are $25 if purchased beforehand, and $30 at the door, and tickets are non-refundable and nontransferable. The event is produced by the team of Sonny Rock and Chris Hensley, and can be found on Route 28, Mt. Tremper.
Rain or shine event
The event will be held rain or shine, and there is limited sitting, however those who come are welcome and encouraged to bring a picnic blanket to sit on.
