Fleischmanns First’s monthly community meeting will be held at the 10 a.m. at the Print House, 1070 Main Street. Fleischmanns. Executive Director Paula DeSimone will chair the meeting. Topics will include preparations for the Memorial Day weekend street fair and the April 28 Earth Day cleanup. Please bring your volunteer energy and your ideas for how Fleischmanns First can help the village move forward. All are welcome!

The 25th annual Heart of the Catskills Humane Society’s Paws for Celebration will be held from 4-7 p.m. at Spillian in Fleischmanns. The Andes Public Library will host a Latin Dance Party at the Andes Hotel, located at 110 Main Street in Andes. Tickets are $70 per person and must be bought with cash or check at the Andes Library prior to the event. Tickets include professional Salsa lessons at 4 p.m., a full Latin/Spanish Fare buffet with non-alcoholic drinks included beginning approximately 5:30 p.m, and an evening of dancing after dinner. Longyear Gallery of Margaretville is pleased to announce the opening of “the opening of a special exhibit, “Night,” a new group show featuring the art of many Longyear Gallery members, accompanied by a group show of the art of the other Longyear members.
